So I am probably the luckiest girl ever. I asked, or maybe forcefully suggested to my husband that I might buy one of Christine's dolls for my Christmas gift this year. Left to him I will receive nothing, or a large present full of goodies that my mom clearly bought and wrapped and gave to him to give to me. What can I say? My husband, while great at many things, is not great at giving gifts. My mom clearly is (she even gives them to people for other people!) Anyhow, he thought it was a great idea. Really!! He did! My birthday's also in December so I thought, "hey, maybe a birthday present could come of this as well?" The doll I hoped to get was Anja. So Christine's Etsy shop update rolled around and I sat nervously hoping I would be fast enough to get her. And I was!
Isn't she a classic beauty?? She has her own portrait too.
Sigh.
So I finished up buying Anja and returned to Christine's Etsy shop to see what dolls were left. I made a list of the three dolls I wanted most before the sale began, Anja, Ellery, and Elena. I told myself to only buy dolls from the list, otherwise I might try to buy them all and then I would probably lose my home (and husband definitely wouldn't go for that!) Ellery was there, then she was gone, but Elena was still there. Waiting. Clearly waiting for me. And so she came to live with me also.
I just love her. Anja and Elena were happy to meet Athena. So, Dear Husband, thank you for these beautiful dolls, among the best (and only) birthday and Christmas presents you've ever given me. Or should it be the best presents me's ever given me? Nope. We'll just say they're from him. Thanks Sweetie! And thanks Christine, You Rock!!!!!

These are stunning. I've been enjoying looking through your blog - I think this little stuff could get quite addicting!

Wow..what kind words ~thank you! And your hubby is a sweetheart for "buying" them for you! (Is he familiar with the rule that he still has to get you birthday and Christmas gifts despite your wishes?..hehe. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and thank you again for adopting" these two ladies:)
