The last of the leaves in my dad's walnut orchard made their way to the ground. Of course I was without my camera and by the time I made it back to the farm three days later the leaves had already lost much of their brilliant color, but here is a look at the color that remained. A blanket of yellow covered the ground...
...and a few stragglers dotted the sky above.
There is no snow falling here, just thousands of falling leaves. This farm girl thinks it was every bit as pretty as a blanket of snow (and much warmer!)
